2002. The Ruin Mist by Robert Stanek books were first published in print form in 2002, some 17 years after he first started writing the books in 1986.

2004. In 2004, there was discussion of creating a graphic novel, which would be fairly similar to a screenplay script for a Ruin Mist movie.

2005. In 2005, there was some fan discussion about Ruin Mist graphic novels on the Robert Stanek Message Board.

January 2006.  2006 is the 20th anniversary of the creation of Ruin Mist.
